T-Minus 10 Days

Hello Family & Friends,

This is a quick update on Kenya. We are 10 days away from departure and I can hardly believe I am going back after 4 1/2 years. My heart for missions was placed on the back burner and now it is getting ready to kick into after burner. I am so thankful you have decided to join us in prayer and support.

I somehow misplaced my shot record over the past 6 weeks and was looking at having to take all my shots over. Thank goodness the yellow fever and typhoid vaccinations are controlled, so the clinic in Austin is reissuing my shot record for $5. That’s a lot better than $500.

We are excited about what God is going to do through us in Nairobi and Eldoret. I have attached a flyer from one of the conferences we will be speaking at. Be sure to keep us covered in prayer while we are on our journey, November 28 – December 10.

In addition to prayer support, it’s not too late to support our trip financially. We can always use the extra funds to help plant and build churches, as well as meet the needs of the people we will come in contact with. No amount is too little or small, God will use all for His glory and advance His Kingdom.

Be sure to keep an eye on this page, my personal page, main site or twitter for updates about our journey. I will attempt to post daily, but at least every couple days. This may be my last update between now and when I return, so until then be encouraged and blessed in the Lord.

Humbly,

James

It’s Next Month…

I was looking at my calendar and realized my trip to Kenya is next month, November 28th. Wow this time has gone pretty fast. I am as prepared physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually as I can be. There will be 3 of us traveling to bring Christ love, hope and encouragement for 10 days to the people of Eldoret, Kenya.

If you haven’t started yet, please begin to fast and pray over us, our trip and God’s mercy for Eldoret. This is an exciting time for me, as I will be doing what I am passionate and called to do. I look forward to sharing with you the mighty work God will being doing through us while we are there. I plan to send daily post via Twitter & Facebook, and attempt to send updates to keep you informed of our endeavors.

I am grateful for all the support we have received so far. If you have a heart for missions and would like support us, it’s not too late. You can find more information on our Support page.

I didn’t realize my passport expired in February 2009. Has it been 10 years already. My renewed passport arrived in the mail. I am so excited and one step closer to this trip. Next step is checking on my shots.

We will be flying out November 29 and returning December 10. We will fly into Nairobi, Kenya, and then take a very long taxi, Matatu, ride to Eldoret. We will be ministering at Mount Zion Church. Our gracious host Pastor Lawrence Otineo has opened this door of opportunity to come minister in his church and community. Stay tuned for more updates.
